Farmingdale State College,[1] formerly the State University of New York at Farmingdale or SUNY Farmingdale, is a college of the State University of New York that is located on Long Island in East Farmingdale, New York,[2] with a small section in Old Bethpage.

The college dates from 1912 as a school of applied agriculture, and was known as the Long Island Agricultural and Technical Institute.

Currently the college offers bachelor degrees and associate degrees across various fields.

According to Long Island Press, the college ranks 88th among top 200 public college's highest graduate earning power on Payscale.com.

The Daily Beast ranked Farmingdale the 5th safest campus in the nation for its 2010 listing.
